Pods Framework Soft Charisma

About Me

I’ve been developing websites since I was 15 when I was in 9th grade. It started with a personal site, as with most likely every developer. I wanted to push the limits of what I could do so I taught myself to code. Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of websites and at one point I even built my own CMS on PHP / MySQL. I switched to developing with WordPress in 2007 and have been enjoying pushing the boundaries ever since. I specialize in WordPress and Pods CMS Framework development using PHP, MySQL, AJAX / JavaScript following Object Oriented Programming best-practices. I’m also a WordPress plugin developer and present at WordCamps, Meetups, Conferences, and Teleconferences across the globe to help others learn from my experiences.

When I’m not developing, I spend as much time as possible with my wife Cassidy, my daughter Annabelle, and my music project Soft Charisma.

Cassidy and I are proud to have been adopted by our great Seal Point friend, Waldo (below).

“I went into the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life… to put to rout all that was not life; and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

Henry David Thoreau

Cassidy and I met on April 11th, 2008 after discovering each other earlier that week online. On a whim, we decided to meet up in person and haven’t lived apart since. I proposed to her at the Botanic Gardens in Ft Worth on November 2nd, 2008 and have photos to prove it! See to the left for a photo a few minutes after surprising her with one of the most well thought of plans in my life! She picked the ring out a few weeks before and I bought it in secret and planned the entire photoshoot around it. To honor our first in person meeting, we both agreed that it would only make sense to have our wedding on our anniversary date. Our wedding was April 11th, 2010 at the historic YWCA in downtown Ft. Worth, and we both enjoyed our week-long honeymoon in Hawaii.
We welcomed our daughter Annabelle Lee to our arms on my 25th birthday – March 16th, 2011! That means that my wife and I met on April 11th, were married on April 11th, I was born on March 16th, my daughter was born on March 16th which was my 25th birthday, and my favorite number is 5.. you can see how this is going to be very easy for me to remember dates and how lucky I am, right? Well anyway – this is all a very happy coincidence for us and life is good!
